Masbate Rep. Rizalina "Dayan" Seachon-Lanete has asked for additional police security after unidentified gunmen fired at her house in Masbate City, before dawn Tuesday.
Police said two men riding in a white Honda motorcycle fired several shots at Lanete's home in Barangay Ibingay, Masbate City around 2:30 a.m.
Police said the shooting damaged the concrete fence and front main gate of the lawmaker's home. A black Toyota Prado parked at the lawmaker's garage was also hit by the bullets.
The congresswoman and members of her household were not hurt, police investigators said.
Seized outside the lawmaker's home were eight spent shells of a .45 pistol.
Police said the bullet shells have been brought to the police Crime Laboratory for cross matching and ballistic tests.
Additional security have been provided by the police for the congresswoman.
